Wasatch Whitewater Chute-out at OAD
Join us for the 2nd annual Wasatch Whitewater Chute-out, lead by race director Lee Hart of Brand Amp. Heats of four racers will head down a 2-mile section of the Ogden River while spoilers attempt to thwart race progress from various sections along the course.

The Bouldering Championships at Summer OR has always been the biggest stage for competition climbing in our industry featuring star climbers including Chris Sharma, Daniel Woods, Alex Puccio and many more. Competition begins at The Front Climbing Club, where a field of pro climbers are narrowed to the top 10 men and women for the Big Show just across the street from OR at the close of Day 2. Stick around afterwards for the famous Bouldering Championships after party.
- Tent City on the Grass - The industry’s best in camping gear and tents will be on display at Tent City on the Grass. Check out tents from multiple manufacturers, what better way to compare the latest tent innovations side-by-side then set up in a natural environment.
- Endurance Zone - We’ve teamed up with media partners to bring you
the latest information on events, products and opportunities in the
endurance market. Come take a break from your busy day to relax in the
lounge or pick up the latest endurance focused magazines.
- Climbing Zone - Test new products and witness professional athletes
tackle the indoor climbing rock. Seeing what the trend setting athletes

- Project OR Supported - Outdoor Retailer celebrates the innovation
and creativity of the design process with dedicated design resources at
Outdoor Retailer Winter Market. Watch up and coming design students
nominated from five top design schools compete to design and construct
a specified outdoor garment prototype LIVE on the show floor. With
limited time to conceive, design and build their prototypes the
competition will be fierce! Project OR activities will unfold on the
show floor at the New Exhibitor Pavilion.
- Source & Design Center - Source and shop the components that
make up the innovative and fashion forward elements of the outdoor
market. From color theory to laminations, the Design Center is your
resource destination at Winter Market.

Backcountry Base Camp
Buyers are invited to join us at the 2009 Backcountry Base Camp, and test products at our unique outdoor on snow demo event. BBC provides you the opportunity to test the performance and technology of ski hardgoods, assess the durability and comfort of winter gear and check out the latest in backcountry accessories. Experience the products you sell in the environment they were designed for and have confidence in the products you sell.
All Outdoor Retailer attending retailers are invited to spend a day at BBC for discounted lift tickets, hands-on exhibitor displays and selected backcountry product demos. Backcountry Base Camp 2009 will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Snowbasin Ski Resort in Ogden, Utah.
